Sophie Turner Totally Shut Down Piers Morgan Over His Tweets About Mental Health

Renowned troll Piers Morgan is back on his hating bullshit, this time taking aim at celebrities suffering with mental health problems, ffs, but not to worry, your girl Sophie Turner has taken him down.

It all started when the British bullshit artist shared an article by The Sun where some nobody named Beverlery Callard calls out celebs for making mental health problems ‘fashionable’.

Morgan retweeted it to his 6.52M followers and wrote:

“She’ll be hammered for saying this, but it’s 100% true.”

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner was quick to shut him down, writing:

“Or maybe they have a platform to speak out about it and help get rid of the stigma of mental illness which affects 1 in 4 people in UK per year. But please go ahead and shun them back into silence. Twat.”

Piers, being the adult baby that he is, was unable to let Turner have the last word and responded:

“Hi Sophie, please don’t abuse me like this – it’s harmful to my mental health. Thanks.”

Adding, “Sadly, I know a lot of well-known people (not The Rock) who’ve jumped on the ‘victimhood’ bandwagon to get positive publicity for themselves. They do those with genuine mental illness a great disservice.”

When Cosmopolitan shared an article on the feud, Morgan reshared it and wrote:

“I’ll never recover.”

This isn’t the first time Turner has used her social media platforms to speak out about mental health. In support of World Suicide Prevention Day in September she wrote, “You’re stronger than you think. You will get through this. You’re so loved. You are NOT a burden. #WorldSuicidePreventationDay”

As for Morgan, this is just the latest in a long line of controversial views and Twitter arguments with a young woman at the center. Back in November, he got into it with Ariana Grande (and her mom, Joan) on Twitter over how and when women should put their sexuality on display. Grande also clapped back brilliantly, writing, “I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next.”

Despite his incessant clap backs, I reckon Sophie’s the one who came out on top here. She, a 22-year-old actress, took it upon herself to educate Morgan, a 53-year-old troll, on the issue of mental health and how we should never dismiss or devalue anyone’s struggle.

A very Sansa Stark move, IMO.
